The Comox Valley is a community comprised of Comox, Courtenay, Cumberland and the Regional District which is surrounded by the ocean to the east and mountains to the south and west. The Comox Valley is a community that boasts a cozy, friendly atmosphere and offers all of the amenities of a larger centre. St. Joseph's Hospital is located over looking the ocean in Comox. The cultural diversity of the community is thriving with the recent completion of a new library in downtown Courtenay, the renovated Sid Williams Theatre, the museums in both Courtenay and Cumberland and the art gallery amongst many other attractions. North Island College offers a variety of courses that students of all ages can participate in. The newly constructed International Airport provides easy access to the valley from many points in Canada and the United States.
